Boiling Point

Based on a true story, an elderly man interrupts an influencer in the process of recording content about a kettle that can boil water up to 120 degrees. He drinks the scalding water and insists that it is not hot. He is the sole survivor of an explosion caused by the kettle, leading to his becoming an overnight news sensation. Like stepping into a crossover between a Wes Anderson tableau and a Cultural Revolution poster, this film is a surreal exploration of the nature of truth in the age of digital media and AI.
