The film chronicles the emotions and destinies of seven single women, whether upset, confused, expectant, disappointed, or helpless, compromised, independent and defiant, all relevant to this frenetic and noisy era. Through their different experiences, it also shows the failed marriages of middle-aged women, their single lives and the men who do not appear but are still vivid in the female perspective.
