The emergency room was especially busy today. Two nurses and a doctor, exhausted, entered the lounge. While the doctor spoke to his mother on the phone, a nurse tossed the pineapples his mother had sent into the trash. Suddenly, the emergency alarm sounded, and they all rushed out to assist. After the resuscitation failed, the doctor returned to the lounge, filled with self-blame as he heard the family’s cries outside. Remembering the pineapples in the trash, he picked it up and ate it.
