Synopsis On a winter’s day in southern China, after the funeral of her father, her daughter finds her deceased relatives back at home. It is getting late and the reunion and the parting are somehow merging to become the same occasion.

Curators’ Notes This film reveals how a family confronts the reunion and departure of their close relative. The use of long takes adds a dream-like and surreal feel to this film. Director Qu does not create any conflict in this family drama. Instead, he patiently tells a quiet and calm story which enables the audience to gradually become part of this family.
